To be honest you dont really want to use a catapult for a farm. One you dont want to hit his res fields and warehouse/granary, and you may want to get some hero exp. But if you dont want any resistance, take out their barracks, stable, academy, blacksmith and main building, which means they will find it hard to build troops.

Another alternative, if you dont want wheat, is to crop lock them. that means taking out their market place, granary, wheat fields and main building. No wheat equals no growth so hes dead in the water and you are free to take the other res.

noone can claim a spot on travian....first come first serve and you cant be really expected to read everyones profile before you settle. But since its a TST player it may be nice IGMing the person and just as courtesy say I am settling next to you and will be your neighbour and ask if its ok.

Sometimes people do put that spot is mine on their profile and you do get grief usually in the form of catas but if you defend it they will run away scared.

I have both of them. I at the moment keep a substantial force of TTs for the raiding because they are very fast and have a good capacity with about another 60%-70% of the TTs number as heudans for the punch(all in my main village). Generally I feel a mix is better since as you said per wheat the heudan is only marginally better, and TTs offer so much more with their pace. The force of heudans will back up the TTs power so it works up nicely. Plus heydans are expensive, so start with getting some TTs to raid people and get resources for heudans later.

of course its good. If you upgrade your granary, you can build a nice store of wheat and not worry about it for a few days (if your wheat is negative or you want big upgrades). Im trying but only like found this out 2 days ago so my granary isnt quite 80000 yet...

I agree with the rule change...I mean for me it was hard to get 310000 resources. The fact the resource is worth more is better in my opinion since killing 310 macemen is not as hard as getting 310000 res
